This fragrance evokes an image of freshly hand-crafted Japanese washi paper from a traditional mill, nestled deep in the mountains and surrounded by a cedar forest. Washi paper is a traditional craft made from pure water and plant fibers. Thin enough to see the through, with a soft, matte texture and a natural feel, washi paper conveys a sense of calm.
Top notes: Leather, cardamom
Middle notes: Geranium, ylang ylang, orris
Last notes: Hinoki, cedarwood
This fragrance uses orris, ylang ylang and leather fragrances to evoke the grainy softness, seashore fragrance and inorganic impression that wafts through a washi mill. These are complemented by dry woods such as hinoki and cedarwood that are commonly used to make washi.
